@yellowstardust420 This is the same problem I’ve got. Tried loosening the bolts again twice now with the same results. I’m using #10 bolts with a panhead and rubber washers because I couldn’t find silicone. Couldn’t gt the repair kit, everything else worked fine for disassembly but now not so much. If you get an answer to this I’d appreciate the feedback.

@xxovermetalxx like he said leave it for about 20mins to overheat.
@gjeni7 scotch tape
@reddragon9 just buy hes kit.
@fktheworld1 clamps are bullcrap made by microsoft. they bend your mother board when your xbox is hot
@sonnifer I was thinking to buy new xbox but first i thought… why dont i try to fix i old one first inplace of throwing it away, if shit happens i will buy new one. so id suggest you to first try and fix it then throw it away:)
Dont use nylon washers, because after one month they will melt a bit and flatten. that happened to me before
why would u take off the paste? its their for a reason to protect yr processor!
I don’t know if this is really worth it. I think I might just throw my xbox away.
I did this ages ago in september , but i used cheap crappy thermal paste off ebay will this matter and the xbox noew gets 3 red rings , Shall I do a Reflow with my Heatgun ?
thanks
